Programme Notes / Performance Details :

Marimbas are not electrified, but can they sound as if they are? Direct current-alternating current, high voltage-low voltage, now and again, the crackling sound when the tension needs to be released. Then, at the end, before the tension dissipates, an invisible hand seems to simply pull the plug.

4 mallets per player. The full version of this recording is released on one of the German Marimba Duos CDs entitled Kaleidoscope which can be purchased at www.codamusic.de
