Part of a collection called "Concert Folio for Mallets." 1. Fanfare; very short, in 3 sharps with quarter = 82. 2. March; quarter = 112 with tempo changes, in 4 sharps. 3. Waltz; Jazz feel, quarter =72 4. Ragtime; Slow Joplin style with eighth = 80 Very contemporary piece. Difficult, with a lot of 3 and 4 note chords and contrapuntal lines. Good pedal markings. Good material for a college senior or graduate student.
