1) Recitativo - Allegro 2) Acalanto - Lullaby 3) Vivo - Presto Dedicated to Evelyn Glennie, this piece is very similar in style to the marimba concerto. It uses traditional Brazilian modes and melodies. The 3rd movement has a fast left hand ostinato, like the Despedida of Rosauro`s marimba concerto. The second movement is quite beautiful, and uses some special musical effects. Can also be performed with a percussion ensemble (6 players).
