This piece would be an excellent concert piece for a high percussion ensemble. The title tells you the tempo within itself, so that mean you have lots of time to make it as musical as possible. Music does a great job giving instructions for the roll parts and unrolled parts, and make sure part 3, 4, and 5 have an extra mallet or play with 3. Also part 1 and 2 make sure you watch out for your 16th note passages with diddle slash on them, they should be played as a double/diddle with that same hand.

Players 3,4 and 5 some 3 mallet passages; 3 and 4 also have some clef changes. This is a slow piece, but Peters keeps it from getting too boring by varying the texture. He gives good directionsabout when to roll, where on the bars to roll (near the nodes at one point), how fast to roll,as well as suggestions on mallet selection.
