Douglas Igelsrud has been keeping Syracuse Symphony audiences on the edge of their seat for over three decades with the thundering sound that emanates from those glorious brass colored kettle drums (better known as timpani).  Mr. Igelsrud holds bachelor's and master's degrees from the University of Miami and from the University of Iowa. 

Mr. Igelsrud did advanced study at the Cleveland Institute of Music with his mentor, Cleveland Orchestra Timpanist Cloyd Duff, and performed in the Institute orchestra under the baton of James Levine.  He has also played with the San Antonio Symphony, Colorado Philharmonic, and the Birmingham Symphony.

ABA form. A few tuning changes. Mixed meter and several tempo changes. Uses glisses and double stops.
