This is a nice collection of ratime tunes with interesting improvisatory variations written into the arrangements. It can be performed with piano or marimba accompaniment and would make a nice novelty contribution to a concert. I recommend this collection for study and performance. A collection of five arrangements of xylophone rags by Scott Joplin, George Hamilton Green, and Jack Van Geem. The accompaniment can be played on marimba (four hands or two hands) or on piano. The "Hot Choruses" are original improvisations by Jack Van Geem who recorded both the solo and accompaniment for the CD.
