Instr.: I - IV all play spagane (small wood blocks you hit on the floor), plus; I four toms; II timbales; III two snares; IV bongos; V timpani; VI agogo bells, steel drums; VII - XII all play bull roars, rattles and voice 12/8 Dotted quarter = 100. Uses layers of ostinatos. African rhythms layered on one another, with occasional solos throughout the ensemble. Chant chorus at end. Includes Agbadza 12/8, Tigre Dance 6/8, and Hi-Life with a tutti ending. Fun piece. Could add dancing. Similar to Rouse`s pieces, most closely Ogoun Badagris.
