Part 1 of the Marimba Suite would be a great high school recital, or college freshmen trio. Parts are not that hard, lots of similar rhythms and passages. Has a mini groove break were the melody of the marimbas move to shaker and cowbell, and comes back in with runs from both marimbas and some harmonys to end this piece.

This work would make a great high school contest piece. Some extended techniques for mallet players.
