This piece is written by the composer of "Concerto for Percussion and Wind Ensemble" and "Music for Prague," also for wind ensemble but containing an entire movement for percussion alone. It uses a mixture of spatial and traditional notation. This piece requires a large setup and all drums are graduated in pitch, including timpani. Two players are required to used 4 mallets on vibes. A suggested setup and mallet specifications are provided. This is challenging.
