For Jean Wilmouth Players 1, 3, and 6 should be close together in order to share instruments. This piece "traces the sounds of percussion through four dimensions: Jazz, March, Aleatoric, Classical." The simple rhythms are all made up of sixteenth notes , eighth notes, triplets, and some flams are included. It begins at quarter=160 and ends at half=80 in 3/4 (Bolero tempo). The lines have a thick texture in half of the piece. There are some unisons between mallet parts and the dynamics are fairly expressive. This piece is out of print. Level: Adv. HS, Easy Undergrad.
