The piece is for perc. solo. Psappha continues the exploration of non-octivating scales "sieves". (see Musique Architecture and Formalized Music). As far as the rhythm is concerned, the exploration of multiple anthyphereses (shifing of the down beats) is continued from Persephase, Komboi, Pleiades, as is the exploration of temporal sieves. The antithesis or the homophonies of the timbres of the percussion family are exploited and explored.
