Mixed meter throughout. 1st movement fast to slow, 32nds. Hard to put together. Explicit directions for mallets, etc. Brass use mutes. Percussion is written like a French multi piece. This piece calls for 3 trumpets, 3 trombones, and 2 percussionists. This is a difficult piece due to tutti rhythmic complexity, frequent meter and tempo changes, and many difficult passages between players. Extrem dynamics. 1st trumpet goes up to high D.
