Trumpet needs lot of mutes. Requires flexibility, articulation, and range. No score. This piece varies from fast linear playing to slow 4 mallet chordal style. Similar in style to his flute and marimba piece. Trumpet requires lots of mutes, good endurance, flexibility, articulation, and range. 2nd movement has a high D and there are problems in the 3rd movement as far as accuracy with range. There are many multi meter sections and octave jumps for the marimbist.
