Programme Notes / Performance Details :Ballade of the Hunter`s Moon is written for a close friend of mine, Caitlin Langan. One weekend, I was with my friends having a bonfire, and I looked up to see that the moon was shining as bright and white as I had ever seen. You could see your shadow very clearly on the ground. One of my friends remarked that this was referred to as a "Hunter`s Moon." I wanted to capture the beauty of such a sight in music, so I wrote it in the three days following that weekend. I premiered this piece on my recital at William Paterson University in Wayne, NJ on April 17th, 2011.
