Composer / Arranger Details: Born in 1991, Friedrich Tiedtke showed interest in percussion intruments from an early age on. When he was seven years old, he started to take lessons for drums, percussion and marimba from Nils Rohwer, who stayed his teacher for 13 years. During this time he won a first price in the German national music competition "Jugend musiziert". Besides numerous projects and ensembles he performes with, Tiedtke has been a member of the Youth Orchestra Schleswig-Holstein since 2006. To compose is an inherent part of making music for him. In addition to works for marimba and ensembles, he also writes songs and film music. Furthermore, Tiedtke s big passion is filmmaking. For his short films he already won several awards. In 2011 he finished school and lives in Berlin now.
