First movement utilizes two mallets and is toccata-like. The second movement is on vibraphone and is very hard with a lot of notes. The third movement uses two and four mallets on marimba. There is a lot of piano playing in this movement. Mixed meter throughout. Gen is crazy -- he marches to a different drummer. More difficult than Tanner. Manuscript is not good. This is a tonal piece in the Tanner style.
