Stylistically very similar to his "Two Movements" - constant meter changes, funky rhythms, fast-slow-fast overall form. Nice writing for the instrument - fits well on the keyboard. Percussion I is predominately vibes, perccussion II is timpani. Both also play drums and cymbals. String players must be able to count - There is a lot of unison funkiness. Potentially a concerto competition piece.
