Programme Notes / Performance Details :

A virtuoso piece for both players. The percussion part was conceived as an accompaniment for the trumpet but the piece has often been used as a showcase for percussion. Two performers required, one trumpet player and one percussionist.

Extra Performance Notes: Triangles to be set up as one open tone and one dampened.  Maraca to be suspended and hit with mallet.
