DEATH AND THE MAIDEN

Piece Title : Death and the Maiden

Programme Notes / Performance Details :

This is a self published arrangement for two Marimbas of the second movement from Schuberts famous "Death and the Maiden"  D minor string quartet. Note of interest. Schubert used a theme from a song (lied) of his by the same title as a basis for the theme of the movement. So we have an arrangement upon arrangement.

The music is in form of theme and variations. It is 7-8 minutes long and relatively difficult. The length of the movement stems of the many repeats that are part of it. It follows Schuberts original music quite faithfully.
